Rebecca Feldman, PMHNP, CNM, RN has worked with mothers and their babies since 2004, as a labor and delivery nurse, board-certified Nurse-Midwife and now as a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse-Practitioner, specializing in the treatment of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.
As a midwife, Rebecca has delivered over 700 babies, mostly in the New York City public hospital system at Woodhull Medical Center. At Woodhull, she was the project leader for the Maternal Depression Collaborative, a city wide project to promote access to mental health care for all mothers in need. She started a maternal mental health program there that brought the departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Psychiatry into partnership.
She is a volunteer for Postpartum Support International as well as a guest speaker regarding maternal mental health in academic and public health settings. She received a her Bachelor's in Nursing from New York University, her Master's in Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University, and a Post Master's Degree in Mental Health Nursing from New York University.
