Baby & Me Yoga


Baby and Me Yoga focuses on strengthening the spiritual, emotional, and physical bond between parent (or caregiver) and child. Using interactive, slow-moving postures, the class is ideal for adults and babies 4 weeks to crawling. Class also includes infant massage and various exercises that assist the development of your child’s motor skills. Baby and Me will help carry you smoothly through the busy early months of caring for a new baby.

Instructor: Lindsay O’Brien

Lindsay O’Brien has been practicing yoga since 2003.  Her yogic journey began when she took her first Hatha Yoga class while studying at Eastern Connecticut State University.  In May 2007 Lindsay graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Visual Arts from ECSU.  In that same year she completed the Sierra Bender Wholistic Yoga Therapy Training with Sierra Bender and Dr. Jeff Migdow.  Lindsay is also trained in pre/postnatal yoga and children’s yoga.

Lindsay has always been fascinated and inspired by the cycles of nature especially the transformations that occur for women during pregnancy, childbirth and beyond.  Her passion to learn more and enhance her teaching skills guided her to the Prenatal Yoga Center where she completed her prenatal yoga training with Debra Flashenberg and Nikita Maxwell.  In 2010 her inspiration to support and assist women during childbirth expanded when she became a DONA Trained Birth Doula.  As a birth doula Lindsay provides continuous labor support to families throughout New York City.  Lindsay currently teaches group yoga classes at different locations throughout the city and also offers private lessons tailored towards her clients specific needs.

In Lindsay’s teaching and when supporting families in childbirth the room is filled with her gentle spirit, enthusiasm and gratitude towards life.
