Born and raised in the country of Georgia, Mia lived through the civil war and earned her bachelor’s degree in music theory and choir conducting.
Before moving to the United States in 2003, Mia taught herself how to speak fluent English. While adapting her new life in New York she enrolled in a technical school earning an Associate’s Degree in accounting, while working as a childcare provider. Mia also worked at Mount Sinai Department of Plastic Surgery as a Surgery Coordinator. Mia has been a frequent blood donor for NY Blood Center and volunteers frequently with various non-profit agencies. Having been a child bride at 14 years old, a teen mom, and victim of an abusive relationship in her country of origin, helping others - especially new mothers - has always been close to her heart.
