Cheryl McGibbon, MD is a practicing psychiatrist in NYC and Westchester who is dedicated to supporting women as they navigate their transition to motherhood.

Dr. McGibbon completed her general adult psychiatric training at Weill Cornell/New York Presbyterian Hospital and pursued further training in reproductive psychiatry in the women’s mental health fellowship at Columbia /New York Presbyterian Hospital. She has a Bachelor of Arts from UC Berkeley where she focused biological studies, and received her medical degree from UCLA School of Medicine.   Dr. McGibbon has expertise working with individuals with a history of trauma, infertility, miscarriage, infant loss and parenting issues. She believes that an attuned and responsive mother is an essential element in healthy child development and that it is essential to provide compassionate and responsive care to a mother during this major life transition in order to promote well-being of both the mother and baby.
