Catherine Boutwell, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist devoted to helping women and their families during the perinatal period. Dr. Boutwell’s clinical interests include developmental transitions across the lifespan and attachment and bonding in the mother-infant relationship.
Dr. Boutwell received her doctorate from The New School for Social Research. She completed her clinical training at Columbia University Medical Center, where she previously held a faculty position within The Women’s Program. Dr. Boutwell is currently enrolled as an affiliate scholar with the Parent-Infant Psychotherapy Program at Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, Division 39, Postpartum Support International, and ZERO TO THREE.
